WOW!

Wow, awesome, power, energy, these are all words that 1st come to mind when reflecting on the #healthevoices16 conference in Chicago last weekend.

The weekend started with a get together so we could mingle , followed by dinner and a few speeches. Hearing from Jamie Heywood the CEO from patientslikeme.com really blew me away. The picture i submitted for our list of attendees had me wearing my patientslikeme shirt. I had no idea he was going to be there, such an awesome guy!

Next… classes all day Saturday. I walked into a class first thing (didnt have the schedule i had picked) and it happened to be a video class taught by @imstilljosh Josh is an HIV activist who injects humor into everything. AWESOME class. The rest of Saturday was more classes and i wont bore you with details but i was in awe for the WHOLE conference. So many people (90+ volunteers) that are all fighting for their cause, you could feel the energy in the room, if you could have  harnessed it, you could probably light something brighter than the sun.

This whole experience was so incredible.

Social media

So here I am sitting on my flight to Chicago to goto the #healthevoices16 conference sponsored by #janssen . I’m going to learn how to make better posts to tweet news in a better and timely fashion. to post information that pertains to us chronically ill folks. I’m so excited I love these trips I love meeting people and this trip is different as there will be all type of patients here. People like me who spread the word of new meds, new treatments we spread love and hope. A few folks going are other reps from the national psoriasis foundation , we have become so close its like a family reunion when we go places, they are my PsO brothers and sisters, I am so blessed to know these folks, although getting psoriatic arthritis and psoriasis is a horrible thing these folks have made my becoming sick a blessing in disguise. Can’t wait to land and get a group hug going at the Chicago Renaissance hotel!!!
